 | Friday, September 1st, 2017: Penn Earns AL Top Pitcher Trophy Hayden Penn's been around the league long enough to appreciate the honor he received today. After going 6-0 in August, the Minnesota hurler has been named American League Pitcher of the Month. He fanned 57 in 48 innings, logged an ERA of 1.88 and allowed opponents to hit .205 against him. So far this year Penn has made 28 starts, tossed 206 innings, struck out 234 batters and walked 38. His record is 19-4 with a 2.80 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .203 batting average. |
