Sunday, October 28th, 2018: Bass Signs for 2 years
Team officials triumphantly announced that the Marlins and superstar reliever Brian Bass have closed a deal that keeps the 28-year-old in a Florida uniform for another 2 years.

Bass will earn $12,260,000 as part of the settlement.

At 28 years of age, Bass has put up these numbers in his career: 193 appearances, a 15-13 record in 242 innings, and 239 strikeouts. He has 12 saves and a career 3.27 ERA.

Sunday, October 28th, 2018: Star CL Signs Pact with Marlins
Happy times in Florida as the Marlins and star closer Tony Gómez put the finishing touches on a $19,080,000 contract extension that will keep the 26-year-old in town 2 years longer.

The signing is great news for Florida because players of this caliber are hard to come by.

Gómez has 58 career saves with a 24-25 record and a 3.15 ERA.

The Milwaukee Brewers shut out the Florida Marlins behind the 5-hit pitching of Aaron Lambert, winning by the score of 6-0 at Miller Park.
