Tuesday, November 6th, 2018: Drader Heads Best Batter List
The National League MVP Award has been picked for 2018 and the honor goes to the talented Houston Astros Andrew Drader.

This season he compiled a .331 batting average with 198 hits, 39 doubles, 11 triples and 39 home runs, along with 146 RBIs and 142 runs scored.

Monday, November 5th, 2018: 2018 NL Cy Young Award Chosen
The Houston Astros have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making.
It's Evan O'Day, this year's National League Cy Young Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance.

O'Day compiled a 26-3 record in 32 starts, tallied 240 strikeouts in 221 innings and recorded a 2.12 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .202 batting average against him.

Monday, October 22nd, 2018: Astros Top Royals in World Series
You could hear the cheering all over Houston as the Astros secured the final out of a 11-4 win over the Kansas City Royals to capture the 2018 Over The Fence World Series 4-2. It was the 3rd time in the team's history to win it.

"The Royals are a good ballclub," said the winning skipper, "We had to play at our best to beat them."

"Anytime you make big plays, it changes the momentum of the game," the losing manager said. "The Astros made 'em and we didn't -- end of story."

During the season the new champs compiled a 130-32 record in the National League Central and finished in first place in the standings.
